Applications are not yet open for the Summerhall Arts 2026 Fringe programme, but please sign up to our artist list and we’ll notify you later in the year when they do.

In 2025, we saw over 70 shows take place across 10 venues, as well as our inaugural Group Show Exhibition. Shows spanned theatre, performance art, physical theatre, comedy and music, with a focus on experimentation and new writing.

Meadows Award

Summerhall Arts is excited to announce the launch of the Meadows Awards, a new annual initiative aimed at supporting artists of colour from anywhere in the world. Applications are now open for the 2025 award, which will offer an artist or company a fully supported run at Summerhall during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Guimarães Rosa Institute Award

Summerhall Arts is excited to announce the launch of the Guimarães Rosa Institute Award is a brand new initiative aimed at supporting artists artists from Brazil, based in the UK, to undertake a festival-run. Applications are now open for the 2025 award, which will offer an artist or company a supported run at Summerhall during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
